Magic Music 88.4 fm was established in 2004
We wanted to provide an alternative radio program
to the existing radio stations in Whangarei
We have been working together for many years
both in the entertainment and food business.
& also entertained in the Bay of Islands
on charter boats with mobile discothèques.
Robyn: being a radio enthusiast all my life
with experiences that extend across the board
including continuity announcing on Radio New Zealand
and private stations in both New Zealand and Australia.
I spent many years with RNZ’s Radio Northland 1ZN in Whangarei.
And worked with satellite station “Bay Radio”
In the Bay of Islands over several summers
Now our hearts and souls are dedicated to Magic Music
and its wide and diverse listening audience.

It can be heard loud and clear 24/7
in Kamo on 88.4fm
and in many parts of Whangarei and surrounding areas on 107.1fm
Also on line it can now be heard world wide!
We offer an exciting and entertaining blend of music
from the times and styles almost forgotten.
Including easy listening, country, rock and roll
and good old toe tapping music from the 50s 60s 70s & 80s
Our BIG point of difference is - Less commercials- more MUSIC
5 nights a week with the help of a team of volunteers
we run lives show to specific audiences including Jazz, Country etc
We also have Suzy Cato with the Great Big Children’s Show on Sundays
